Our Pacific Office

SERVICES

Your team member, your culture, our office in Fiji

Most Australian businesses don't need a mass offshore operation. They need one or two capable, committed people who show up every day and take ownership of their work. Staff leasing is the model that makes that possible.

Staff leasing is a type of outsourcing in which a third-party provider becomes the legal employer of your team member, while you retain full control over the work they do. Unlike traditional outsourcing, which typically involves handing off specific tasks or projects to an external provider, staff leasing in Fiji is a more strategic, partnership-driven model that integrates dedicated team members into your business long-term.

For Australian businesses, staff leasing is one of the most cost-effective ways to grow a team. It enables you to access top talent at up to 70% of the cost of hiring locally, while avoiding the risks and complexities of foreign employment. This ensures your business is protected as you scale.

STAFF LEASING

You manage the work. We manage the employment.

At Our Pacific Office, we make staff leasing seamless through a process called co-sourcing. You define the role that needs to be filled, the tasks your new team member completes day-to-day, and bring them into your company culture. We take care of the rest — from sourcing and recruiting the perfect candidate to managing employment contracts, payroll, compliance, and on-the-ground infrastructure.

Your full-time team member will be based in our professionally managed office in Nadi, Fiji, working exclusively for your organisation. They operate as a true extension of your team, using your systems, following your processes, and aligning with your culture. You maintain full control over their work, while we act as an intermediary between you and your offshore employee.

Once you've selected your ideal hire, we take care of all onboarding details, including employment contracts, workstation setup, IT configuration, and a comprehensive workplace induction to ensure a smooth start.

THE NUMBERS

Up to 70% less than hiring locally

The cost of hiring one local employee can often fund two or even three offshore team members. A dedicated team member based in Fiji typically costs 60–70% less than an equivalent role in Australia, all while working full-time within your business, seamlessly integrated into your systems and schedule.

OPO VS TRADITIONAL BPO

Most large BPO providers are built for volume. We're built for integration.

Many businesses that come to us have already explored large BPO providers and decided they're not the right fit. Traditional outsourcing models are designed purely for scale and volume, not for the deeply integrated, dedicated relationships that drive long-term success in offshore staffing. Our approach is different.

Feature OPO Staff Leasing Traditional BPO
Dedication Works exclusively for your business Shared across multiple clients
Direction You manage day-to-day tasks directly Provider manages workflow and output
Culture Your brand, standards and identity Provider's culture and systems
Relationship Direct access to your team member Managed through an account contact
Flexibility The role evolves as your business does Fixed scope, fixed deliverables
Visibility Real-time communication from day one Reporting and dashboards only

WHO THIS IS FOR

Offshoring works best when the need is specific and the relationship is genuine

You need capacity but not the cost of another local hire

The Australian employment market is expensive and increasingly competitive. An offshore team member gives you full-time capacity at a fraction of the cost, without any compromise on quality, reliability or the day-to-day working relationship.

Your specialist or senior staff are bogged down with low-value tasks

Administration, scheduling, inbox management, data entry, lead follow-ups — if your senior team members are handling these tasks, you're paying a premium for work that doesn't match their expertise. A dedicated offshore team member takes these responsibilities off their plate, freeing up their time for higher-value, strategic work.

You want to start offshore without a large commitment

Many of our clients start small with one or two people fulfilling the most urgent roles. Our co-sourcing model is designed to support this approach, allowing you to experience the benefits of offshoring without the need to build a large offshore operation upfront. It's a low-risk way to see how it works for your business.

You're building something, not just filling a gap

The businesses that get the most from this model aren't just looking to reduce costs. They're thinking about what their team looks like in two or three years, and they want an offshore partner who is invested in that outcome. Most of our growth comes from existing client referrals. That tends to say more than we could.

THE PROCESS

Get your offshore team up and running within 4–6 weeks.

We handle recruitment, employment setup, and onboarding with precision and care. Your role is straightforward: provide a clear brief for the role, interview a carefully selected shortlist, and choose the best candidate.

1

Discovery call

A 30-minute conversation about your business, the role you need to fill and what success looks like. The focus is on understanding your requirements and the outcomes you want the role to deliver.

2

Role brief

We document the role requirements including skills, experience, working style, software and hours. This becomes the brief our recruiters work from, and you approve it before we begin the search.

3

Talent search & screening

We search our existing talent pool and go to market if required. Every candidate is screened against your brief, interviewed by our team and reference-checked before you see their profile.

4

Interview & selection

You are presented with a shortlist to interview directly, typically of two to four candidates. We coordinate the process and support you in evaluating each candidate so you can make the final decision with confidence.

5

Onboarding & setup

Once you choose your team member, we set up their workstation, IT, HR documentation and payroll in our Nadi office. You'll just need to provide company system access, a workflow induction and initial task training.

6

Your team member starts

Your dedicated team member begins working exclusively for your business. Our office manages their HR, payroll, leave, and performance reviews. You direct their work. It really is that seamless.

"Within a couple of months we had an awesome, supportive team working alongside the rest of our Front Office team. The Fiji team have been a delight to train — extremely motivated and keen to learn and grow. Christine, Tracy and Brad have always worked with us, understood our requirements and been quick to work on solutions when required."

COMMON QUESTIONS

What businesses typically want to know before they start.

How quickly can I get started?

Most clients have their first team member onboarded and contributing within four to six weeks of the initial conversation. The timeline depends on the role's complexity and how quickly the interview and selection process moves. We work at pace, but we don't rush the search — the right candidate matters more than the fastest one.

What kinds of roles work well with this model?

Any role that can be performed remotely and doesn't require a physical presence in Australia. The most common placements are virtual assistants, executive assistants, customer service, bookkeeping, payroll, administration, appointment setting, sales support, HR coordination, data entry and research. If you're unsure whether the role you have in mind suits a staff leasing model, we're happy to discuss your needs on our free introduction call.

What happens if a placement isn't working out?

We have a process for that. If a placement isn't performing or isn't the right fit, we work through it with you — understanding the issue, addressing it where we can, and replacing the team member if that's the right outcome. We've built this business on long-term relationships, and that means taking problems seriously when they arise.

How do I manage someone based in Fiji day-to-day?

The same way you'd manage any capable remote team member — clear communication, defined expectations and the right tools. Most clients use Microsoft Teams, Slack, Zoom or Google Meet. Fiji is only two hours ahead of AEST, which means your team member is available throughout the Australian business day. We provide regular performance reporting and are available if any issues arise.

What IT infrastructure is in place at the Nadi office?

Every workstation includes a desktop or laptop, headset, dual monitors where the role requires them, high-speed internet with redundancy and standard software licences. Our IT Manager handles all setup and ongoing technical support. You provide access to your internal systems and tools.

Do I need to set up a company in Fiji?

No. Your team member is employed through Our Pacific Office. You don't need to register any entity in Fiji, deal with local regulatory requirements or manage any in-country employment obligations directly.

Is there a minimum contract term?

Contract terms are discussed on your introduction call. We build long-term relationships because they're what makes this model work well. The fact that the majority of our growth comes from existing client referrals is a reasonable indication of how those relationships tend to go.

Start the conversation so you can make the right call for your business.

Our free introduction call is a short, practical conversation with one of our directors, so we can understand your business and the role you're considering offshore.

In 20–30 minutes we will discuss the role you want to build offshore, walk through how our co-sourcing model works, outline typical costs and timelines, and answer any questions you have.
