How Aizer Group doubled their offshore team and built a business that actually scales
After six years in the Philippines, Aizer Group needed a better outsourcing model. Partnering with Our Pacific Office in Fiji gave them the stability, culture, and operational control they'd been looking for.
About Aizer Group
Aizer Group is one of Australia's leading high-volume building service providers. Their work spans electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, insurance repairs, facility maintenance, and commercial contracting, with specialist expertise in restoration services for fire, water, and smoke damage.
With thousands of jobs moving through the business every year, their operational engine runs on volume, speed, and precision. Admin, finance, and coordination functions are central to keeping that engine turning.
The challenge
Aizer Group spent six years outsourcing to the Philippines. Over time, the environment became increasingly difficult. Staff were regularly poached, wages became harder to manage, and basic operational decisions required navigating layers of bureaucracy.
"Our staff were often poached. I put bounties on heads of staff to bring a new member with an incentive of $500, so they would switch jobs every other week. We wanted to go somewhere we could build a sustainable team and culture."
Logistics were frustrating too. Visiting the team meant a full day of travel, little access to decision-makers, and offices buried in high-rise buildings where getting basic things resolved was an exercise in patience. The model wasn't built for long-term growth, and Anthony knew it.
Why Fiji, and why Our Pacific Office
After exploring options across the Pacific, including Vanuatu, Anthony landed on Fiji. Proximity mattered: it's just three and a half hours from Brisbane, easy enough to combine a business visit with a family trip. But what sealed it was the culture.
"I have staff who will ring me to talk about rugby or chat. When my Australian staff visit Fiji, they hang out with the team, go hiking, go to dinner at their houses. That's the Fiji way, and that's how we want our company to be."
Our Pacific Office suited Aizer Group because the relationship wasn't transactional. Anthony wanted to be involved, not just billed. The partnership opened the door to a more hands-on, collaborative model.
What they outsource
Aizer Group's Fiji team handles the operational backbone of the business. With around 10,000 jobs processed annually — and up to 20,000 job setups if you account for the 50% win rate — the volume of administrative work is significant.
Functions now running out of Fiji include their entire finance team (excluding one in-country finance manager and a part-time CFO), a full admin and project coordination team, and a 24-hour call centre. Every entry-level to mid-level role in the business now operates from Fiji.
The outcome
Since partnering with Our Pacific Office, Aizer Group's Fiji team has grown from 16 to over 30 staff in 12 months, with a target of 50 within the next year. More significantly, the business now has thousands of processes documented, mapped, and maintained by a fully Fijian-run team.
"When outsourcing is done properly, it's not just taking operations offshore. It's full systemisation and process mapping of your business."
Operational stability has improved. Staff retention is strong. And the relationship with the team is genuinely warm — one staff member bought their first home and put their children through private school during their time with Aizer Group.
